On the occasion of its fifteenth anniversary, the Swiss publication for experimental music zweikommasieben goes on tour, visiting spaces, people and institutions with whom it has already worked, with whom it feels connected, or which it admires from afar.
For an evening at Silent Green, zweikommasieben invites the Berlin-based interdisciplinary artist Steven Warwick, also known as Heatsick, as well as Anna Homler from Los Angeles to two performances in the Dome Hall.
The two artists have been featured in zweikommasieben issues 13 and 17 and also share a common history. Warwick was a live collaborator on Homler's Breadwoman performance, developed in the mid-1980s, in which she sings in a foreign language and a mysterious being, adorned with bread all over its body, traverses the stage.
Anna Homler's work as a performance and improvisation artist encompasses many unusual fields: vocal work, a wealth of sound toys, and numerous collaborations form a practice that is difficult to classify. Warwick is likewise active in many roles. He creates visual art, publishes books and zines, produces music for labels such as PAN, and was part of the noise duo Birds Of Delay together with Luke Younger, also known as Helm.
For this evening at Silent Green, Homler and Warwick present two solo performances, supported by the zweikommasieben DJs.
