Dear friends, on Saturday, 12 September, from 6:00 p.m. to Sunday, 13 September, at 10:00 p.m., we at Südpol will open our doors for a musical journey through the history, present, and future of electronic music. With 'Frequencies 2026 - the invisibles' we focus on those whose contributions to the history of electronic music have often been made invisible, co-opted, or erased from the collective memory.
Techno and house are deeply rooted in Black music culture, particularly within the Detroit community. And we want to tell this history not only but also celebrate it together. To that end, we are bringing together pioneering voices from Detroit, international guests, and BIPOC artists from Hamburg and beyond, from the pioneers of the first generation to the artists who are writing new chapters today and tomorrow.
