Emma Ruth Rundle comes to Chalk in Brighton on April 11, 2027, bringing the solo side of her work into focus: intimate songs where the voice sits close, carried by piano, bare guitars and slow-building textures. Known to many for heavier, electric terrain with Nocturnes, Marriages and Red Sparowes, she shifts here toward something more direct and vulnerable, shaped by a folk upbringing in Los Angeles and a taste for atmosphere learned in post-rock.
Her solo writing moves between dark folk, ambient and experimental rock, with room for hushed arpeggios, saturated crescendos and melodies that never overplay their hand.
