Dent May arrives in Milan on April 26, 2027 for a live show at Circolo Arci Bellezza, bringing to the stage his own personal way of bending pop between psychedelia, synthpop, indie rock and new wave. Born in Jackson, Mississippi, and now based in Los Angeles, he has built over the years a repertoire full of oblique melodies and retro-flavoured arrangements, moving from the lighter, acoustic footprint of his early days to a writing that is increasingly electric and nocturnal.
From early records such as A Brush With Velvet and The Good Feeling Music of Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele to the keyboard-rich turns of Do Things and Warm Blanket, the concert promises a journey into his evolution, between bright pop and more synth-driven moments like Across the Multiverse. There is also room for the more recent phase, from Late Checkout to What’s for Breakfast?, with songs designed to make your head move and to sing along without realizing it.
