For years, electronic sounds have clung to genres; with Dr Donk, the boundaries are deliberately erased. On September 11, 2026, he will launch his own crossover ZAAGSTEP at the Bootshaus in Cologne. The idea behind it is simple and radical at the same time: the extreme BPMs and the rough edge of Uptempo and Zaag meet the pressure, the drops, and the bass aesthetics of Dubstep, Drum & Bass, and related bass-music styles. Dr Donk will present the whole thing live as an album showcase, including unreleased material, and turn it into a night in which different scenes interlock rather than stand side by side.
On his side are acts that carry this collision: Yoshiko brings hardcore energy and uncompromising tempos, GPF provides the heavy Uptempo punch, while Must Die! pulls the bass screw toward Dubstep. Joining them are Invaderz, Lekkerfaces, Madcore, TMPR and Revenge Of The Nerds (Albino back-to-back Dr Donk back-to-back Ricky West), as well as a Dr Donk back-to-back with Yoshiko — a direct statement of how ZAAGSTEP is conceived: no labels, only maximum friction on the dancefloor.
