On 5 December 2026, The Twilight Sad bring their latest chapter to Brudenell Social Club in Leeds. Now centred around founding duo James Graham and Andy MacFarlane, the Scottish band keep pushing that tense sweet spot where post-punk drive meets shoegaze haze and noise-rock weight. Expect big, turbulent guitars, shadowy keys and Graham’s unmistakable voice cutting through the mix with raw, straight-to-the-point emotion.
The set is built around It’s The Long Goodbye, the record that sharpens their sound without sanding off the rough edges: dramatic crescendos, tight rhythmic pressure, and those moments where the melody suddenly opens up inside the distortion. Songs like “Waiting For The Phone Call”, “Designed To Lose” and “Attempt A Crash Landing - Theme” point to a band still obsessed with texture and impact, but more direct in how it lands.
