Liv.e, a vocalist and lyricist from Dallas, moves along a fine line between alternative R&B, soul, hip-hop and jazz. Her songs embody freedom: flexible formats, lo-fi textures, sound collages, and intimate writing that shifts from singing to spoken word without warning. From Couldn’t Wait to Tell You... to Girl in the Half Pearl, she builds shifting atmospheres, with a groove that slips away as much as it grips. Across from Liv.e, Karriem Riggins brings his mastery of rhythm and sound. A drummer trained in jazz and a producer with a broad ear, he has navigated since the 1990s between razor-edged breaks, silky loops, and soulful pulses, with that supple touch that links the jazz scene to hip-hop abstraction. A duo conceived as a live playground, where precision meets the unexpected.
