Former Yugoslav rock figure with Bijelo Dugme, Goran Bregović later shifted his center of gravity toward a music in which Balkan brass, Romani influences, choirs, and pop-rock energy cross paths. On March 9, 2027, he returns to the stage of the Espace Culturel Le Champilambart in Vallet with his Weddings and Funerals Orchestra, a formation bearing his sonic signature: brass that ring out, percussion that accelerates, voices swelling in power. An essential composer of film music, notably for Emir Kusturica, Bregović makes traditional repertoire converse with compositions that have become familiar well beyond the Balkans. On stage, the spirit remains the same: collective, physical music, designed to swing from a solemn march to a dancing trance, with that blend of fervor and irony that runs through his work. A concert where celebration and mourning respond to one another, with no extraneous decor, just the breath of the ensemble.
