On December 2, 2026, Tank and The Bangas arrive at L’Alhambra with the collective energy born in New Orleans, where words and groove respond to one another endlessly. At the center is Tarriona “Tank” Ball’s voice and presence: singing, spoken word, bursts of poetry, then returns to the chorus as if everything were unfolding live. Beside her, multi-instrumentalist Norman Spence II and the rest of the band build a shifting playground, a blend of soul, hip-hop and adventurous R&B, with breaks, harmonies, and that sense of rhythm that can tilt a text into a song.
The concert is built around The Last Balloon, the latest chapter of a trilogy begun with Green Balloon (2019) and Red Balloon (2022). An album that preserves the band’s festive side while probing tougher, more rugged themes—from frustration to resilience—without losing spontaneity. After The Heart, The Mind, The Soul, a Grammy-winning spoken-word project, Tank and The Bangas continue to carry the same idea: a living, hybrid music that owes as much to performance as to a songbook.
