Wasia Project

Wasia Project, a sibling duo from England, brings together Olivia Hardy (vocals, guitar) and William Gao (piano, vocals). Trained in classical music but driven by a pop sensibility, they have crafted since 2019 a chamber sound where indie pop, light jazz-pop and electronic textures intersect without hierarchy. Their debut album, Nocturne, a 12-track record, moves between piano ballads, club-inspired pulses and surges of modern soul.

On 20 November 2026 at L'Élysée Montmartre in Paris — their only date in France — the band will perform Nocturne live. On stage the duo expands with drums, bass and brass, amplifying the organic breadth of precisely written songs that sit between alternative pop and restrained emotion. The melodic songwriting that first revealed Wasia Project with “Why Don’t U Love Me” can be heard here, followed by “Petals on the Moon,” “My Lover Is Sleeping” and “Remember When,” not to mention “Ur So Pretty,” featured in Heartstopper. It’s a live set that blends supple vocals, piano in the foreground and hushed rhythms, served by clean arrangements and a subtly danceable energy.
