Quiet Light, alias Riya Mahesh, is a Texas-based producer, singer and multi-instrumentalist who shapes electropop like a waking dream: liminal, slightly eerie, with clean, sparse songwriting threaded through ambient textures and folk-leaning tones. Her tracks move in slow flashes, as if time had been paused and restarted somewhere else, letting the voice sit close while the electronics blur the edges.
Since her self-titled debut EP in 2020, Mahesh has kept building a run of independent, self-produced releases, from Blue Angel Sparkling Silver (2023) to Fourth of July, Going Nowhere (2024) and Pure Hearts (2025). She’s toured in support slots for Cameron Winter, Erika de Casier, Nilüfer Yanya, and Chanel Beads, and now turns toward Blue Angel Sparkling Silver 2, her first release on True Panther. On 9 November 2026 at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh, expect a set that pulls these worlds together: intimate songs, electronic haze, and that feeling of drifting through scenes you can’t quite place.
