Kaleo will perform at the Zenith in Munich on March 22, 2027, as part of the 'Way Down We Go Tour.' The Icelandic band led by singer and guitarist Jökull "JJ Julius Son" Júlíusson has, since their formation in 2012, relied on a sound that closely fuses blues rock, folk, and alternative rock—sometimes rugged and riff-driven, at other times restrained and acoustic. It is precisely this alternation between pressure and restraint that lends their songs their tension: a prominent lead voice, grooved rhythms, and guitars that swing between dusty rootsy vibes and modern rock. After their early debut, released in Iceland, Kaleo, with their move to the United States, made their own take on American music traditions into a hallmark. By the time of 'A/B' and later 'Surface Sounds,' this blend of edgy rock moments, ballad-like passages, and atmospheric colors had become solidified. Live, that means no slick, polished set, but dynamism, edges, and melodies that stick.
