underscores brings her boundary-blurring pop to Glasgow on 10 November 2026 at SWG3 Glasgow. The project of San Francisco–born producer and songwriter April Harper Grey moves between experimental electronics and guitar-driven hooks, fusing hyperpop with pop‑punk, emo and indie pop. After early online releases rooted in dubstep, underscores sharpened the writing across the EPs Skin Purifying Treatment, We Never Got Strawberry Cake and Character Development!, then crystallised the mix on Fishmonger (2021), where abrasive guitars sit against precision drum programming and clean, catchy melodies. The same year’s Boneyard AKA Fearmonger pushed the formula further.

In 2023, Wallsocket opened a more narrative lane, folding rock, folk, country and shoegaze into a fictional Midwestern town, a world later expanded on Wallsocket (Director’s Cut) in 2024, with the single My Guy (Corporate Shuffle). On stage, underscores switches between laptop textures and guitar bite, sliding from serrated riffs to glitchy breaks while keeping the song at the centre. The set draws on Fishmonger and Wallsocket, with room for newer material, tracing a line from internet-born club music to off-kilter guitar pop.
