Lip Critic land at The Underworld in London on October 22, 2026 with Theft World, a record sparked by a real-life identity theft that flipped their writing process on its head. Mid-tour, the band learned someone had drained their accounts, then turned up at a show claiming their songs hid a coded scavenger hunt. Instead of brushing it off, the group recorded the conversation and rebuilt an album around that fractured mythology, peopled by figures like The ATM Man and places like The Junk Space or The Grocery Store Casino. Paranoia, obsession and misread clues became the raw material.

On stage, the Brooklyn quartet push that tension hard. Two drummers lock into hammered, jagged rhythms while electronics grind and swerve; vocals slip from spoken-word to barked mantras; riffs and samples snap like cut-up signals. It’s post-punk leaning into electropunk and digital hardcore, wired for movement and sharp left turns.
