The Belair Lip Bombs

The Belair Lip Bombs land in Margate with a lean, melodic strain of indie rock that threads surf-punk snap, jangle-pop sparkle and a post-punk edge. Formed in 2017 in Frankston, Victoria, the band grew out of high-school friendships and a taste for tight rhythms and unadorned hooks. Fronted by singer-bassist Maisie Everett alongside guitarists Mike Bradvica and Jimmy Droughton, the lineup now includes drummer Daniel Devlin. Early DIY EPs set the tone before Lush Life (2023) widened the canvas; the record was reissued in 2024 when the group became the first Australian act signed to Third Man Records. Again (2025) pushed the palette further while keeping the urgency and clipped vocal lines that define their sound.

On stage, expect sharp guitars, a taut engine room and melodies that keep their cool while the tempos bite. The set leans between restless bursts and breezier, jangly passages, drawing from Lush Life and Again without smoothing off the edges.
