Tokyo Riddim Sunday

Tokyo Riddim Sunday lands at Fox & Firkin, London, on 26 July 2026, for a cross-cultural meeting of Japanese music, reggae and dub, built around live sets and DJ selections. A day shaped by artists who bridge Tokyo and London scenes.

Live, Tokyo Riddim Band unites three generations of Japanese women musicians with reggae‑rooted drums, heavy bass, city pop guitar lines and live dub mixing. Led by keyboard player Izumi “Mimi” Kobayashi, with saxophonist Megumi Mesaku, vocalist Ayana and producer Kay Suzuki on siren and dub effects, the group extends the Tokyo Riddim compilation into a stage project, tracing grooves that move from city pop colours to sound‑system echoes.

Joining them, Swans from Kanagawa, Japan deliver laid‑back, dubwise instrumentals that lean on space, bass and unhurried melody.

On the decks, DJs Nina Yamada, Shoko Yoshida, Table From Three and Izumi “Mimi” Kobayashi explore reggae, dub, Japanese grooves, tropical tones and soulful oddities, threading links between eras and scenes throughout the day.
