Way Dynamic

Melbourne musician Dylan Young brings his solo project Way Dynamic to Brudenell Social Club, Leeds, on 27 August 2026. With a forthcoming third album, Massive Shoe, he threads minimalist folk-pop, art rock and baroque pop, produced and mostly played by himself. Known for stints with Cool Sounds and Good Morning, and for drumming with Snowy Band and Kankawa Nagarra, Young writes songs that swing between wry scenes and unguarded sentiment.

Clear guitars, close-up vocals and patient tempos carry hooks that open slowly; keys and denser textures bring a lightly psych edge. In the studio, the songs keep a spare, homemade feel; on stage, that intimacy expands into a group dynamic, with sharper contrasts between hushed passages and more insistent sections. Expect new cuts like Miffed It and Ibiza alongside earlier material, moving from breezy detours to plainspoken confession. Way Dynamic has found allies on the road with Katie Crutchfield and MJ Lenderman; in Leeds, the trip continues.
