Amble - Europe 2027

On 18 February 2027 Amble, the Irish contemporary-folk trio, will perform at the Metropol in Berlin. The three rely on voices and acoustic guitars, creating a sound that sits between contemporary folk, indie folk and intimate songwriting. The project grew online in the early 2020s and has developed a live profile on small stages across Ireland—approachable and focused on the essentials.

At its core are close harmonies and stripped-back arrangements that leave space for songs about relationships, vulnerability and everyday life—clearly expressed, without frills. Tempos are mostly moderate, structures deliberately simple, with melodies often carried by multiple voices. In this way Amble preserves the warmth of the folk tradition without sounding nostalgic, anchoring it in a contemporary acoustic aesthetic.

Live, the trio forgoes heavy effects and relies on presence, dynamics and subtle nuances between the voices. The configuration remains light, transitions flow, and the material works as well in an intimate setting as on a larger stage.
