The Script bring The Man In The Arena Tour to Co-op Live, Manchester, on 7 November 2026. Formed in Dublin in 2001, the band shaped a pop rock sound laced with soul and R&B writing, carried by Danny O’Donoghue’s voice and melodic refrains. After early years between Dublin, the US and London, they broke through with The Script (2008) and Science & Faith (2010), then #3 with Hall of Fame recorded with will.i.am. The group now moves forward around O’Donoghue and drummer Glen Power, joined by Benjamin Sargeant and Ben Weaver, and brings new material from Satellites (2024) alongside the tracks that built their catalogue between big hooks and slow-burn ballads.
Also on the bill, James Morrison adds his gravelly soul-pop. Raised between the Midlands and Cornwall, he came to prominence with Undiscovered (2006) and Songs for You, Truths for Me (2008), then continued with The Awakening, Higher Than Here and You’re Stronger Than You Know. His repertoire balances intimate ballads and steady mid-tempos built around guitar, piano and a raw, upfront delivery, drawing a clear line between acoustic folk, pop and rhythm and blues.
