On Wednesday 3 March 2027, The Rasmus play KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton. Formed in Helsinki in 1994, the band has moved from raw, funk-tinged beginnings to a darker, melodic strain of alternative rock that folds in pop and hard rock. Singer Lauri Ylönen leads alongside Eero Heinonen, Aki Hakala and guitarist Emilia Suhonen. The set draws across eras, from the shift marked by Into and the breakthrough Dead Letters to more recent chapters like Dark Matters and Rise. On stage, taut rhythms, atmospheric guitars and strong hooks carry songs such as In the Shadows and the 2022 Eurovision entry Jezebel, with big choruses and shadowy textures.
Skarlett Riot join with a British take on modern hard rock and melodic metal. Fronted by Skarlett and anchored by a tight rhythm section, the quartet balances punchy riffs and clear vocals, shaped across releases including Tear Me Down, Regenerate and Invicta. Their live approach favors direct songwriting and driving tempos, setting a sharp, driving tone before The Rasmus step in.
