On 11 August 2026, Fontaines D.C. arrive at Muelle 12 Alicante with a live show that traces the trajectory the Dublin quintet has been shaping since 2017. With Grian Chatten at the helm, Carlos O’Connell and Conor Curley on guitars, Conor Deegan III on bass and Tom Coll on drums, the group builds on a lean, literary post‑punk threaded with spoken word, indie rock and songwriting strongly marked by their city. Dogrel (2019) opened the way; A Hero’s Death (2020) lowered the pulse and broadened the atmospheres; Skinty Fia (2022) ventured into darker territory, flirting with shoegaze and noise. On ROMANCE (2024), produced by James Ford, they push further toward open textures and less rigid rhythms.

On stage, the band weaves taut bass, precise drumming and guitars that alternate between sharp edges and haze, leaving space for Chatten’s deep voice and lyrics. The set brings together punk heritage, Irish lyricism and a broad approach to contemporary rock, with dynamics ranging from abrasive drive to more contemplative passages, conceived to work live in Alicante without artifice.
