Forbidden Fruit Night w/ Luke Alessi

Forbidden Fruit Night brings Melbourne-born producer and DJ Luke Alessi to Yamamori Tengu in Dublin on 30 May 2026. From Australia, he has carved a club sound that blends house, disco, electro and a hint of funk, built on crisp drums, elastic basslines and a stripped-back groove. His EP After Five on Life and Death pushed him forward, followed by The One with Chloé Caillet and the voice of Jocelyn Brown, then the collaboration with Demi Riquísimo on Yes Bby. Alongside his solo work, he runs the Coffee Cola label and the collective project Not Without Friends with William Kiss and Jordan Brando, both as a platform for releases and parties.

In the booth, Alessi keeps it tight and mobile: tense house rubbing against nervy electro, flashes of disco easing the pressure without breaking the flow. He’s taken that approach from festivals like Lost Village, III Points, Pitch Music & Arts, Beyond The Valley and Strawberry Fields to clubs including Fold in London, Shelter in Amsterdam, Refuge in New York and Space in Miami. Expect precise selections, grooves that lock in early and breathe, and transitions that keep the floor moving all night.
