Penelope Isles

Hailing from the Isle of Man via the shingle of Brighton beach, Penelope Isles resurface, shimmering in sunlight and shadow, at Hyde Park Book Club on 29 October 2026 at 7:30 pm.

Three years since their last show, life has quietly reshaped everything. Two solo records released, new bands formed, old rhythms broken, and a magnetic pull back toward each other that couldn't be ignored; Penelope Isles' sound remains fuzz-drenched, melody-rich, and charged with feeling. Now a three-piece with drummer Joe Taylor, Penelope Isles sound bigger and looser. Guitars shimmer and collide, harmonies rise and fall, drums crash like weather rolling in off the coast. The Wolter siblings write songs like postcards from Brighton seafront flats, off-kilter restaurants, and sun-faded memories.

Still focused on love, heartbreak, and what lingers after, Penelope Isles return with songs that are open, luminous, and unsteady. Everything is in motion again.
