Icona Pop

Icona Pop lands at Pumpehuset in Copenhagen on 13 November 2026. Formed in Stockholm in 2009, the duo of Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo has built a sharp electro-pop and dance-pop sound made for clubs: direct hooks, uptempo beats and a raw, punchy edge. Early singles like Manners and Nights Like This set the pace before I Love It, their 2012 collaboration with Charli XCX, pushed them onto dancefloors worldwide. Their first releases, the self-titled Icona Pop (2012) and This Is… Icona Pop (2013), drew a clean line between big, chantable choruses and a driving, percussive production.

On stage, Icona Pop blends live vocals with DJ-minded dynamics, stitching together their own tracks and collaborations with producers from the EDM and electronic pop scenes. The momentum never drops: synth stabs, stacked harmonies, breaks built for a sing-along and a steady four-to-the-floor pull. After a run of singles and EPs, the 2023 album Club Romantech extended their palette with bright melodies and nocturnal stories.
