HTRK ('hate rock'), the Australian duo of Jonnine Standish and Nigel Yang, elevate musical mood with smouldering intensity. Their songs are often coded as fantasies, venturing into the expanses of dub, dream and memory. They make music that channels the heaviness and beauty of the world, and the surreal humour and serendipity of it too, cataloguing desire, intimacy and spirit.
