Info
Puscifer, the shape-shifting project led by Maynard James Keenan alongside Tool and A Perfect Circle, brings its blend of alternative rock, electronics and trip-hop shades to Manchester Academy, Manchester, on 8 November 2026. Conceived as a flexible collective rather than a fixed band, Puscifer revolves around recurring collaborators like vocalist Carina Round and producer-guitarist Mat Mitchell, building slow-bloom grooves, abrasive guitars, shadowy programming and layered voices.
From the sardonic, cinematic debut V Is for Vagina (2007) through Conditions of My Parole (2011) and Money Shot (2015), the writing leans more melodic while keeping an exploratory approach to production. Existential Reckoning (2020) moves further into synthetic terrain, with minimalist pulses and a colder electronic palette.
On stage, Puscifer treats the concert as a multimedia piece, threading songs with video, semi-scripted interludes and a restrained theatrical vein that blurs band, concept and troupe. Sets tend to reorder the catalog by mood and narrative, balancing electronics and guitars while the vocals shift from hushed layers to tight harmonies.
