Mauritania’s Noura Mint Seymali is a griot, singer, and composer, carrying centuries of Moorish tradition into the present. Her music blends desert blues, Saharan psych-rock, and West African call-and-response, anchored by the harp-like ardin, electric guitar, bass, and percussion.
