Horsegirl — the New York–via–Chicago trio of friends Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein, and Gigi Reece — have released their second album, 'Phonetics On and On,' via Matador Records. Produced by Cate Le Bon and recorded at The Loft in Chicago (the band’s original and sonic home), 'Phonetics On and On' explores the lines between pop, minimalism, and experimentation. The songs were written by Nora, Penelope, and Gigi. Horsegirl write about girlhood and youth, drawing on moments of their lives. Horsegirl is a band of friends. This dynamic is present in 'Phonetics On and On'.
