Australian-born Gimmy (pronounced "gimmie") plays Future Yard on 17 June 2026 at 5:30 pm as part of her debut UK/EU tour. She blends garage rock, new wave, punk rock and folk within modern indie rock.
Gimmy is a singer-songwriter. Her lyrics and sound move from shouted vocals to vibrato passages. Her live shows are energetic and raw. Much like her recorded songs, the live experience invites the audience to feel and connect.
Gimmy's 2024 debut album, Things Look Different Now, is a collection of 12 tracks about change, with themes of relationships, ageing, life phases, success, grief and memories. Influences from the 80s and 90s appear throughout, with the band weaving garage and surf rock, post-punk, folk and indie rock, led by Gimmy's voice.
