Hammerdown Festival comes home to The Factory Live, Worthing from 24 to 26 July 2026, celebrating a decade of rock and metal in Sussex with FM and Acid Reign at the helm.
Formed in London in 1984, FM tap into a melodic hard rock and AOR lineage built on clear vocals, precise guitars and songs that stick. From their early run with Indiscreet and Tough It Out to the recent Synchronized, Thirteen and Old Habits Die Hard, the band have kept a straight-ahead sound shaped for big choruses and sharp arrangements. On stage, they move between new cuts and staples from their late-80s catalogue.
Acid Reign rose from Yorkshire’s late-80s thrash wave, touring with the likes of Nuclear Assault and Exodus before dropping The Fear and Obnoxious. Reformed around vocalist Howard “H” Smith, they returned with Plan of the Damned and The Age of Entitlement, channelling classic thrash speed with a crossover edge. Their live show leans on rapid-fire riffing and tight, no-frills rhythms.
The bill rounds out with A New Tomorrow, Black Lakes, Buried in Bermuda, Catalysis, Crooked Shapes, King Kraken, Night Thieves, Praying Mantis, Seething Akira, Premier Jester, Stone Angels and Wrex, a snapshot of the current UK heavy scene gathered under one roof.
