Info
Dead Pony land at The Globe, Cardiff on 2 June 2026. Formed in Glasgow in 2015 around singer Anna Shields and guitarist Blair Crichton, the band moved on from their Crystal beginnings to settle as a quartet with Liam Adams on bass and Euan Lyons on drums. Their sound sits between pop‑punk bite, nu metal tension and alternative rock grit, with a trace of grunge and hooks that hit fast. It’s tight, melodic and wired, built on thick riffs, sharp dynamics and a vocal line that keeps the pressure up without losing clarity.
After a run of early singles, Dead Pony opened a new chapter with Everything Is Easy in 2020 on LAB Records, then tightened the screws on the War Boys EP in 2022. The debut album Ignore This arrived in 2024, folding rock, pop and electronic textures into a more flexible framework while keeping the band’s nervous energy intact. On stage, they shift easily from the bite of MK Nothing and Cobra to more melodic cuts like About Love, a balance honed alongside tours with Mother Mother, Twin Atlantic, Chvrches and Kid Kapichi. Support comes from Overgrown and Tally Spear.
