Info

Glasgow’s Dead Pony land at La Belle Angele in Edinburgh on 27 May 2026. First formed in 2015 under the name Crystal around singer Anna Shields and guitarist Blair Crichton, the band locked into its current identity in 2020 as a four-piece with Liam Adams on bass and Euan Lyons on drums. Their sound sits between pop‑punk, nu‑metal and alternative rock, with a trace of grunge: tight riffs, direct hooks and a melodic tension built for release. After early singles as Crystal, Dead Pony opened a new chapter with Everything Is Easy on LAB Records in 2020, then sharpened the formula on the War Boys EP in 2022. The palette broadened from the bite of MK Nothing and Cobra to more tuneful cuts like About Love, setting up their 2024 debut album, Ignore This, where rock, pop and electronic influences intersect without losing urgency. Live, the group has grown alongside tours with Mother Mother, Twin Atlantic, Chvrches and Kid Kapichi, staying close to the Scottish scene that shaped them.
