Starbenders

Starbenders arrive at VooDoo Club in Warsaw on July 5, 2026. Formed near Atlanta in 2013, the quartet centers on singer-guitarist Kimi Shelter and bassist Aaron Lecesne, joined by guitarist Kriss Tokaji and drummer Qi Wei. Their sound leans glam but keeps a hard rock backbone and power-pop sense of melody: crisp guitars, front-facing hooks, a taste for the 70s filtered through a tighter, modern edge.

On stage, the group moves from glitter to grit without fuss, letting Shelter’s voice carry while the riffs stay concise. After early releases like Heavy Petting (2016), the EPs Julian (2018) and Japanese Rooms (2019), they sharpened the blend on Love Potions (2020) and Take Back the Night (2023). Expect a set built around those records, with cuts that balance sheen and bite.

They’ve logged miles alongside Palaye Royale, Alice in Chains, Counterfeit and Danny Worsnop, a run that shows in their interplay and timing. Warsaw catches the current lineup in sharp form, with fresh energy behind the kit and a catalog that lands well live at VooDoo Club.
