Info

Filipino-Icelandic singer-songwriter and multimedia artist Yaelokre lands in Leeds on 30 October 2026 at Leeds Beckett Students’ Union. Led by Keath Ósk, the project blurs the line between concert and storytelling, unfolding within Meadowlark, a narrative world developed through songs, drawings and a small troupe of masked characters. The music leans on clear melodies, voice-led arrangements and a blend of acoustic folk and OPM influences, with lyrics that carry the thread of the tale.

Launched in 2024 with the EP Hayfields, Yaelokre first took shape around Harpy Hare, a track that found an audience online the same year. The story widened with Songs of Origin later in 2024, then Origins in 2025, each release deepening the background of Meadowlark’s figures. On stage, Yaelokre appears in costume, sometimes solo, sometimes with a band, using light, masks and staging to connect the chapters from song to song. The project has also stepped onto larger stages, including an opening slot for Aurora in Manila in 2025. In Leeds, Yaelokre brings this universe to life, with support joining the bill.
