She Past Away is the Turkish duo of Volkan Caner (vocals, guitar) and Doruk Ozturkcan (drums, synths, production). Anchored by reverb-heavy guitars, stark drum programming and synth undertones, they distill cold wave and post-punk into taut structures. Sung in Turkish with minimalist, incantatory phrasing, their tracks move with a steady, hypnotic pulse, from the early contours of Belirdi Gece to the firmer tempos of Disko Anksiyete. On stage, the interplay of rhythm and texture drives a continuous set that privileges momentum and atmosphere.
From Vancouver, ACTORS sharpen a cinematic, synth-driven post-punk guided by Jason Corbett’s vocals and guitar with Shannon Hemmett on keys and vocals, Kendall Wooding on bass and vocals, and Adam Fink on drums. Their sound threads bass-led propulsion, melodic guitar lines and dusky synths into concise songs, as heard on It Will Come To You and Acts of Worship. Live, they lean on tight dynamics and precise arrangements, connecting 80s new wave sensibilities to a present-tense edge.
