Samuli Putro, Arppa, Jaakko Kulta

On 10 October 2026, Hybridiarena Hype in Espoo hosts Samuli Putro with Arppa and Jaakko Kulta. Helsinki-born and raised in Raahe, Putro first made his mark as singer, guitarist and main songwriter of Zen Café (1992–2007), shaping a direct, Finnish-language rock and pop sound where lyrics stay at the center. He stepped out solo with Elämä on juhla in 2009, then continued with Älä sammu aurinko, Tavalliset hautajaiset, Taitekohdassa, Valkoinen hetero, Pienet rukoukset, Keskellä kesää, Ikävä mummoa and, most recently, Viime yöltä in 2025. His solo work leans toward melodic pop rock, often pared back, attentive to everyday detail and the cadence of the Finnish language. Beyond the albums, he has written for film and TV including Menolippu Mombasaan, the documentary Freetime Machos and the second season of Kaikki synnit. On stage, his sets move between guitar-led drive and quieter, text-focused moments.
