Westside Cowboy

Westside Cowboy are at XOYO Birmingham on 29 November 2026 with a set shaped by their blend of country, indie rock and art rock, a hybrid they call Britainicana. Formed in the UK, the quartet of Reuben Haycocks, James Bradbury, Aoife Anson O’Connell and Paddy Murphy put collective writing and playing at the core, favouring wide melodies, wiry guitars and an unvarnished touch.

After a first run of tracks on the British indie radar, the band released the EP So Much Country 'Till We Get There in January 2026 on Adventure Recordings, a label associated with Island Records. Recorded in New York with producer Loren Humphrey, it extends a sound that mixes rock tension, folk-country accents and a feel for the chorus without pastiche.

On stage, Westside Cowboy lean into the most direct and abrasive side of their songs. Recent tours and shared bills with Geese and Black Country, New Road, plus stops at Glastonbury, Green Man and End of the Road, set the tone for this Birmingham date.
