The March Violets are an English post-punk and gothic rock band formed in Leeds in 1981, known for drum machine rhythms, echo-laden guitars and dual male and female vocals associated with the early UK goth scene. Seven singles charted on the UK Indie Chart, and early releases include Snake Dance and Walk Into the Sun. After lineup changes and hiatuses, The March Violets reformed and continue to perform and record, with original members Rosie Garland and Tom Ashton.
The March Violets play The Horn in St Albans on 25 June 2026 at 7:00 pm, with support from Narcotic Hearts.
