Info
Holy Holy brings together drummer Woody Woodmansey, producer-bassist Tony Visconti and vocalist Glenn Gregory for a live project centered on musicianship and interplay. Backed by a full band, they land at O2 Academy Glasgow on 3 September 2026, with a line-up built to make songs breathe on stage: tight rhythms, grounded grooves and clear melodies carried by a voice that cuts through.
Born in Brooklyn and rooted in London since the late 60s, Tony Visconti has spent decades shaping records across rock, glam and art-pop. He’s worked closely with Marc Bolan and T. Rex, and across a long arc with David Bowie, from late-60s albums through milestones like The Man Who Sold the World, Low, “Heroes”, Lodger, Scary Monsters and, years later, Blackstar. Along the way he has collaborated with Iggy Pop, Thin Lizzy, Sparks, Morrissey, Angélique Kidjo, The Damned and The Good, the Bad & the Queen, while keeping his own projects alive as a bassist, arranger and bandleader.
With Woodmansey at the kit and Gregory at the mic, Holy Holy leans on precision and feel rather than frills. The focus is on dynamics and balance: melodic bass lines locking with drums, vocals in front, guitars and keys woven around them. A straightforward, lived-in sound, delivered by players who know the stage inside out.
