An evening of music from Motown, soul, and funk as Summit Soul featuring Alex Charles takes the stage.
Alex Charles is an internationally acclaimed soul singer, formerly from the Grammy-winning funk band Heatwave, known for hits such as Boogie Nights and Always and Forever. He is also the lead singer on the 80s track Funky Sensation with Ladies Choice, and the garage track So Beautiful with DJ Innocence. He performs with his band a set of musical classics by:
- Stevie Wonder
- Michael Jackson
- Prince
- Jimmy Cliff
- Nat King Cole
- Elvis
- Little Richard
as well as his gospel originals.
Alex Charles has performed across the UK and beyond. His singles include Funky Sensation and So Beautiful. He was the lead singer of the soul group Heatwave for 25 years.
