Info
Saint Etienne bring their London story back on stage on 11 September 2026 at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire. Formed by Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs, the trio blend club culture with 60s pop instincts, synth textures and melodic house. Expect a journey through Foxbase Alpha and So Tough to the folk-tinged Tiger Bay, the ambient moods of Sound of Water and the pop narratives tied to the city that run through Finisterre and Tales from Turnpike House. Recent chapters The Night (2024) and International (2025) keep that mix sharp: luminous melodies, understated electronics and everyday scenes sketched with a diarist’s touch.
Opening the evening, Nick Heyward reconnects with the tuneful craft that first surfaced with Haircut One Hundred. Bright guitars, supple rhythms and a soul-pop lilt frame songs that move from the clean lines of North of a Miracle through the 90s swing of From Monday to Sunday and Tangled to the more pastoral shades of Woodland Echoes. A set built on concision and melody, tracing a path from early 80s hooks to a lean, contemporary pop sensibility—an easy fit alongside Saint Etienne’s quietly widescreen pop.
