Info
Sarah Kinsley brings her self-built world of indie pop to O2 Institute Birmingham on 25 May 2026. The New York singer, songwriter and producer crafts her music end to end, from writing to detailed production, a DIY approach that also shapes the way she plays live. Trained early on piano and violin, she threads voice, strings, keys and electronics into songs that favour evolving structures and slow-burn lifts over straight lines.
After early tracks online, the EP The King (2021) put her on independent radars, followed by Cypress (2022), which sharpened the contrast between intimate ballads and more driven pieces. Ascension (2023) pushed her alternative pop with melodic refrains and crisp textures, before her first album Escaper (2024) gathered those facets into a more narrative frame.
On stage she adapts these studio layers in a tight setup, looping parts, shifting dynamics and letting the arrangements breathe. The result is a set that moves from close-up confession to steady momentum without losing the clarity of her songwriting, in Birmingham’s O2 Institute.
