On 24 February 2027 at Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline, Wet Wet Wet mark four decades since their debut album Popped In Souled Out. Formed in Clydebank in the early 80s, the band forged a blend of melodic pop, soul influences and big, singable hooks that shaped that first record and the years that followed. From the R&B roots of their early sessions to orchestral-leaning ballads and radio-ready pop, their catalogue traces a clear line through British pop history, with songs that stuck well beyond the 80s, including their take on Love Is All Around. This anniversary show looks back to where it all started, with that smooth, soulful touch and rich arrangements central to their sound.
Sharing the bill, The Christians bring Liverpool soul-pop with layered harmonies and a taste for socially minded songwriting. Active since the mid-80s around the voice of Garry Christian, they balance gospel-tinged vocals, polished arrangements and an easy groove. Their set draws on a repertoire that made its mark at the turn of the 90s and has continued to evolve on record and on stage, a fitting counterpart for an evening rooted in UK pop and soul heritage at Alhambra Theatre, Dunfermline, on 24 February 2027.
