Info
On 26 June 2026 at ICA Bookstore in London, Chezile steps in with a set where psychedelic pop brushes up against indie rock. Behind the name is Albuquerque-raised, San Diego-based multi-instrumentalist Alejandro Sanchez, writing, recording and arranging his tracks with a bedroom-pop sensibility. Rooted in a family steeped in regional Mexican music, he folds Mexican-American identity, skate culture and long desert drives into intimate songs shaped by reverb-drenched guitars, mid-tempo pulses and a laid-back, dreamy hue.
After the melodic indie contours of the EP “47,” Chezile pushed toward warmer, more contemplative textures on “Alē,” a move that mirrors time spent crossing the New Mexico desert and skating between sessions. The 2023 single “Beanie,” which found traction online, widened his audience without losing the lo-fi closeness of his voice. On stage, the focus stays on songwriting and atmosphere: chiming strings, understated beats, and hooks that take their time. A concise portrait of an artist who connects DIY craft with a quietly modern, platform-native approach to alternative pop.
