Eivør

Eivør plays O2 Forum Kentish Town, London on 7 March 2027. Faroese singer‑songwriter Eivør Pálsdóttir navigates between Nordic folk, pop, jazz, rock and restrained electronics, writing songs that balance tradition and contemporary forms. After early steps with the band Clickhaze, she launched a solo career in 2000 and later studied in Reykjavik, where work with the jazz collective Yggdrasil fed into her sense of space and phrasing. On stage she moves between Faroese, English and Icelandic, alterning intimate pieces and slow, atmospheric builds shaped by percussive patterns, drones and open harmonies.

Her catalogue gives plenty of ground for a set that can draw from different eras: the folk contours of Krákan and the self‑titled Eivør, the broader production of Larva and The Room, the crossings of Bridges, the twin release Slør, and the more recent Segl and Enn (2024). Arrangements tend to balance acoustic textures and electronics, with a clear focus on pulse, timbre and melody. A rare chance to hear modern Nordic songwriting unfold in detail, carried by a voice that treats language as another instrument.
