The Lemonheads land at Electric Bristol on 9 October 2026, with Evan Dando at the center of a line-up that shifts but stays faithful to his songwriting. Born in Boston in 1986, the band moves between rough punk urges and clear, melodic hooks, throwing crooked chords against alt-country shades. The set threads the jangle and pop immediacy of It’s a Shame About Ray and Come on Feel the Lemonheads with darker corners from later records, switching from bursts of guitars to quieter, acoustic detours. However it’s cast on the night, Dando’s voice and sense for melody set the pace.
Willy Mason opens with a low, steady vocal and a guitar style that leans folk, blues and country. Raised in a family of songwriters and active on both sides of the Atlantic, he brings songs that unfold plainly and hit straight, from early favorites to tracks off Already Dead. A grounded counterpoint to the Lemonheads’ balance of light and grit, his set warms the room before the amps surge.
