(Hed) P.E. comes out of Huntington Beach with a self-coined G-punk blend that fuses rapcore, punk, metal and flashes of reggae and ska. Built around vocalist Jared Gomes since 1994, the group moved from the self-titled Hed PE and Broke to Blackout, then left the majors for a run that includes Only in Amerika, Back 2 Base X, Evolution, Forever!, Stampede and Detox. The formula keeps shifting without losing its spine: heavy riffs locked to hip-hop swing, barked verses that tilt into melody, and lyrics that don’t dodge the grit. Long active on US alternative and metal stages, from club circuits to Ozzfest, they bring that charge into every room.
Cold formed on Florida’s coast and grew inside the Jacksonville scene around singer Scooter Ward. Between alternative metal and post-grunge, they shaped a moody, melodic signature across 13 Ways to Bleed on Stage and Year of the Spider, pared things back on A Different Kind of Pain, then resurfaced with Superfiction and The Things We Can’t Stop.
