Info

Nathan Carter brings his blend of country and Irish folk to Waterfront Hall, Belfast, on 10 December 2026. Born in Liverpool to a family from Newry, he grew up between Irish sessions and Anglo-American country, and it shows in a set that moves from accordion-led tunes to acoustic ballads and contemporary country covers. A singer as well as an accordionist, guitarist and pianist, he leads from the front, revisiting standards and mixing them with originals drawn from a steady run of albums, from Starting Out and The Way You Love Me to Beautiful Life, Stayin’ Up All Night, Livin’ the Dream, Irish Heartland, Little Old Town, The Morning After and Music Man, with a nod to his take on Wagon Wheel.

On stage, the focus stays on melody and songcraft, with arrangements built along the line between Nashville and the trad songbook. Ballads rub shoulders with upbeat numbers, country singalongs with Celtic colours, and the repertoire draws on popular tradition as much as new material. A straightforward show centred on the voice, his instruments and familiar refrains, anchored in that country-and-Irish connection that has shaped his path.
