Info
Red Rum Club headline O2 Institute Birmingham on 16 October 2026. Born in Crosby in 2016, the Merseyside outfit shaped a recognisable sound where taut alternative rock meets indie pop contours and a dusting of Americana. Early on, a prominent trumpet threaded a near‑mariachi tint through the arrangements, offset by upfront bass, clean-cut guitars and crisp choruses. Across Matador (2019), The Hollow of Humdrum (2020), How to Steal the World (2021), Western Approaches (2024) and Buck (2025), the band have widened their palette while keeping a firm Liverpool backbone, a trajectory traced on stages from Glastonbury and Isle of Wight to Kendal Calling and Liverpool Sound City, and on tours with Blossoms and The Wombats. In 2026, the departure of trumpeter Joe Corby opens a new phase: the songs lean differently, the textures shift, and the live set reframes that tension-and-melody blend without losing its pulse.
Cherryholt joins the bill at O2 Institute Birmingham, sharing the stage with Red Rum Club on 16 October 2026.
