Info

Brooklyn MC Masta Ace returns to London with a full live band to mark 25 years of Disposable Arts. On 17 June 2026 at Jazz Cafe, he brings his sharp, narrative-driven lyricism back to the stage, revisiting the album that fixed his taste for concept and storytelling in the early 2000s. Since his first splash with the Juice Crew and the debut Take a Look Around in 1990, Ace has carved a lane built on clear diction, tight observation and a knack for turning street detail into cinematic sequences. That thread runs through SlaughtaHouse and Sittin’ on Chrome, then deepens on Disposable Arts and its companion piece A Long Hot Summer.

Ace has kept the pen moving across projects with eMC, a joint album with Edo G, a tribute to MF DOOM on MA Doom: Son of Yvonne, and a later run with producer Marco Polo on A Breukelen Story and Richmond Hill. Expect live arrangements that put the stories front and center, with cuts from Disposable Arts alongside staples from across his catalogue. The band format gives his flows more space and grain, amplifying the beats and the narrative arcs without losing the East Coast backbone that has defined his career.
